The Needs of the Many Outweigh the Needs of the Few

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

In 1776 the Thirteen American colonies that had been established here in North America, decided that they no longer wanted to be a part of Great Britain. Many of the early American settlers found themselves establishing new lives in a far country for a multitude of reasons including freedom from oppression and religious freedom.  England had a very strict caste system which essentially meant that whatever positions you were born into was the position that defined your entire life.

Those who were born into a family of wealth and position would always have and those who had the misfortune of being labeled common would always be just that, common.  They would never be allowed to improve their standing in life and would forever be defined by the limitations of their families lack of.  British society was divided by a class-conscious system that involved the hereditary transmission of wealth, occupation, social status and political influence. Colonial America offered them an opportunity to better their lives and to establish their own personal freedoms including the ability to follow what ever religious doctrine they chose.

In recent years, this new America would challenge those of us who are of a different race, social economic class, and yes, even practicing Christians to be silenced so that the voices of those who stand for everything we don't, can be heard.  We are faced with having our voices suppressed in an effort to prove that we have become a more tolerant nation.  However, in our efforts to be tolerant towards others, we have become intolerant of our own right to be heard.

Here at Peace in the Storm Publishing we realize that everyone has the right to be heard and not just those who want to be politically correct. Our authors are ever evolving and changing to reflect a constant changing American landscape. We are not afraid to tell the stories everyone else is afraid to tell. Nor are we challenged by those who choose to remain silent. The storytellers at Peace in the Storm appreciate the support of our readers and will continue to tell the stories that give your soul a rise... One page at a time.
